Because the world-wide COVID-19 pandemic still stays, the organization committee has been closely and continuously monitoring the latest development of the pandemic. As you may have already known, the COVID-19 state of emergency in Japan is in effect. The safety of the conference attendees is always the committee's top concern. Because the world-wide COVID-19 pandemic still stays, the organization committee has been closely and continuously monitoring the latest development of the pandemic. As you may have already known, the COVID-19 state of emergency in Japan will be extended to the end of February. The safety of the conference attendees is always the committee's top concern. Although the conference will be held, the decision on whether it will be held purely online or physically in Japan will be announced in late March or early April. Q1. Will ICBL 2021 be cancelled or delayed?
A1. It has been confirmed that ICBL 2021 will be held from 10 to 13 August 2021 online.

Q2. When will ICBL 2021 conference proceedings be published?
A2. ICBL 2021 conference proceedings will be published as planned by Springer. Copies of the conference proceedings will be sent to individual entitled participants via courier right after the conference, while the online version can be available one week before the conference. Please note that the time for delivery is subject to the postal arrangements and regulations in the recipient's place.
