International Conference on Blended Learning

Call for Paper

You are cordially invited to participate in the 16th International Conference on Blended Learning (ICBL 2023) to be held in Hong Kong Metropolitan University, Hong Kong SAR, China from 17 to 20 July 2023.

Blended learning is a promising pedagogical approach that integrates traditional learning with innovative means with an aim to improve learning effectiveness and enrich learning experience. Over the past two years, owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, teachers and students have adapted to live with social distancing requirements. The pandemic-driven changes in learning styles and habits seem to be irreversible, implying that the changed styles and habits would likely continue even the pandemic is over. While blended learning practices have been transformed into so-called new normal practices, it is time for researchers and practitioners in the field to reflect what we have learnt and explore the ways forward on blended learning.

Under the theme Blended Learning: Lessons Learned and Ways Forward, ICBL 2023 aims to provide a platform for knowledge exchange and experience sharing among researchers and practitioners in the field. Original papers reporting novel applications of blended learning are welcome. ICBL 2023 covers topics related to blended learning including, but not limited to:

  • Adaptive Learning
  • Assessment for Blended Learning
  • Computer Supported Collaborative Learning
  • Content Development for Blended Learning
  • Enriching Learning Experience with Blended Learning
  • Experiences in Blended Learning
  • Game-based Learning

  • Interactive Blended Learning Systems
